Lawrence "Larry" Richard Brandon, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at home after a valiant battle against Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was under the care of Solace Hospice.
Lawrence was born on September 5, 1950, to Charles Johnson and Estelle Louise Haney Johnson, in El Cajon, California. He grew up in El Cajon, where he graduated from Granite Hills High School in 1968. He was a member of the Glaziers Union and earned his journeyman's certificate from Local Union #1399 in California.
On April 11, 1980, he married his true love, Jacquelin Sue Finley, in West Covina, California. Together they raised five children: Stephanie, Jennifer, Andrea, Stacy, and Todd. He also had two sons whom he dearly loved from a previous marriage: Loren and Clayton.
He worked for Pacific Glass in San Diego, California; Brandon Glass in Alpine, California and Doug Andrus Distributing in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Larry enjoyed attending car shows, drag races, and restoring old cars. Spending time with his family water skiing, fishing, camping and just visiting.
He is survived by his wife, Jacquelin Brandon of Idaho Falls, ID; his children: Clayton Brandon of San Diego, CA, Stephanie (Jon) Allan of Chester, NH, Jennifer (Chad) Smith of Idaho Falls, ID, Andrea (Chris) Puckett of Cookeville, TN, Stacy ( Levi) Asprey of Williston, ND and Todd Brandon of Midland, TX; and 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Estelle and Charles Johnson; his brother, Brad Brandon; and his son, Loren Brandon.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
