Larry James Hall, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Larry was born on March 14, 1957, in Jamestown, New York, to Harold James and Nancy Hall. He grew up in Idaho Falls. He was the oldest son and graduated from Skyline High School in 1975. He enlisted in the Air Force prior to earning his Bachelor's Degree in Speech and Communication from Idaho State University.
While at ISU he joined the Army ROTC. He went on to serve 8 years as a captain in the Army doing military intelligence. He was honorably discharged in August 1990.
He married Kimberly Sandlin. Together they had three girls: Elizabeth, Dayle, and Grace. During his service, the family followed Larry all over the US and to Germany. After leaving the military the family moved to Texas so Larry could work for a Christian Ministry. Larry and Kimberly later divorced.
Larry continued to do IT that eventually led to working several years in the Middle East. He met Sukanya in Thailand during an R&R trip and they fell in love. They were married on March 6, 2009, in Thailand. They moved to Idaho Falls so Larry could help his mom, dad, and nephew. Together they had two boys: Narongrit and Thitipong.
He enjoyed gardening, talk radio, fixing cars, musicals, traveling, and reading biographies. He enjoyed being with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and son. He never met a stranger and made everyone smile with his humor. He was always up for an adventure and had the most generous spirit. To know him was to love him. He will be deeply missed and always remembered as a very good man.
He is survived by his wife, Sukanya Hall of Idaho Falls, ID; his sons: Narongrit Hall and Thitipong Hall both of Idaho Falls, ID; his daughters: Elizabeth Hall Hammon of Maidens, VA, Dayle Hall of Pittsburg, PA, and Grace Hall of Dallas, TX; his brothers, Kevin Hall of Pocatello, ID, and Chris Hall of Idaho Falls, ID; his nephew, Phillip Hall of Idaho Falls, ID; his uncles, Don Hall of Jamestown NY, and Mike Hall of Ann Arbor MI; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Nancy Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, February 10, 2020, at Christ Community Church, 5742 South 5 th West, Idaho Falls. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans and Idaho Honor Guard. Cremation is under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
