Obituary

Leah Croshaw Rush, 96, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.

She was born on July 24, 1929, in Arimo, Idaho, to Frank Petty Croshaw and Emma Amelia Olson Croshaw. She grew up in Pocatello, Idaho, with her eight siblings and her parents, and graduated from Pocatello High School. Leah continued her education and graduated from Idaho State with an associate’s degree in accounting.

On January 19, 1950, she married Keith Stanley Rush in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They moved to Butte, Montana, where they raised six children and owned and operated Rush’s Pie Shop in Butte, Montana, and Lakeview Guest Ranch out of Lima, Montana. Along with these businesses, Leah held jobs with the Consumer Price Index and The Tax Shop in Butte, Montana. In the year 2000, Leah and Keith retired to Idaho Falls, where they spent the remainder of their time. Keith passed away on August 30, 2002.

Leah was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and she held several church positions. Leah served a mission for the church at the FamilySearch Library in Idaho Falls. She was an avid quilter along with her sisters. She was a fantastic cook, a talent she used at the guest ranch, with her family and many neighbors and friends.

She is survived by her children: Nancy (Therrill) Mayes, Colleen Whyte, Connie (Jeffrey) Kaiser, Mary Kaye Ames, Kevin E. (Donna) Rush; also survived by her 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Leah was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Amelia Croshaw; her husband, Keith Rush; her siblings; and her daughter, Sandra (Ed) Messer.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to do a service for someone in need of help.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, July 17, 2026, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m., Friday before the graveside service at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
