Obituary

Lee R. Martin, 72, of Idaho Falls died, Monday, February 18, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Lee was born August 17, 1935 on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation to Ennis & Dorothy Martin. He grew up and attended schools in the McCammon area. He graduated from North Marsh High School, and attended Idaho State University for 2 years.

He married Alice M.McLaughlin in Penbrook, Maine. She died August 20, 2006.

Lee spent 20 years in the United States Air Force. He spent a lot of time overseas in Thailand, Iran, Turkey, Vietnam, Korea, Iceland, and serving stateside in Cheyenne Wyoming, Walla WallaWashington, Portland Oregon, and numerous other states while in the Air Force, but Lee came back to his roots in Idaho where all his family lives.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an avid woodworker and liked to work outside. He loved snowmobiling, camping, four wheeling, fishing, and was an avid gardener. He loved to tinker around outside and in the yard.

He is survived by 2 sons; Stephen C. (Diana) Martin, of Idaho Falls, and David L. Martin, of Idaho Falls; his daughter, Anita Purdee (Jeff) of Spokane, Washington; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alice.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2008, at the Taylor Ward Bldg. at 1101 E. 1250 N. Shelley. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
