Obituary

Lee Raymond Wilson, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center following complications of surgery. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Those of us who knew and loved him thought of him as a hard working man always ready to lend a hand and tell a story.

He was born April 23, 1930 in Idaho Falls to Tom & Sarah Wilson. He joins a family of four sisters and one brother who all preceded him in death.

He married Shirley Colson and had a daughter, Sherri Wilson, they later divorced but remained lifelong friends.

On July 21st 1952 he married Jennie Moses. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. As they started their family they traveled to Ely, Nevada; Moses Lake, Washington; and Palisades where he helped build the Palisades Dam. He believed in the value of hard work demonstrated by the many jobs he had. He enjoyed the sense of accomplishment from a good days work.

He owned his own mechanic shop and snowmobile sales for many years where he met so many of his good friends and cherished each and every one. He loved having lunch and coffee with his buddies. He loved camping, fishing, and snowmobiling with his family and friends and did it every chance he got. In his retirement he enjoyed spending endless days with his loving wife at their cabin in Bone or on a mountain stream in their trailer. He was always content to relax and read a book or play a good hand of pinnacle.

He was a proud member of the Mountain River Snoriders Association where for years he had helped make trails and maintain them for all to enjoy. He was extra proud when they nominated him as the 2004 Snowmobiler of the Year.

He is survived by his wife Jennie of 55 years, two sons Tom (Marlene) Wilson, Reuben (Kim) Wilson, three daughters, Janet (Kenny) Sanders, Judy (Doyle) Hill, Chris (Pete) Italiano all of Idaho Falls. He loved his 19 Grandchildren & 16 Great-Grandchildren.
