Obituary

Linda Adams, 60, left this earth peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2017.  Linda had more than her fair share of health problems from the very beginning of her life when she was born 6 weeks premature.  She always found a way to be positive and to see her blessings in spite of the problems she faced.  Her faith in God and her optimism in life and love was an inspiration to all who knew her.  When she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastasized lung cancer she knew that her time on earth was almost over.  Her death came much more sudden than expected but thankfully, she was saved from prolonged suffering.  And she was ready.

Linda was born in Idaho Falls on February 4, 1957, to Joey and Doris Gardner.  She was a sweet, happy little girl and enjoyed life with her loving parents and her 4 sisters.  She was only 12 years old when she had to have surgery to remove part of one kidney that was diseased.  Throughout her life, she experienced numerous serious, on-going health issues.  She was amazingly brave, strong, and determined through it all.

She graduated from high school in Othello Washington and shortly after she spent a few semesters attending Ricks College.  She married Fred Cerrillo on July 5, 1980 and they lived in Renton Washington for many years.  Although they were later divorced they shared a good life together and were blessed with a loving family with 3 children, Monique, Ana-Lisa, and Tanner.  Her family did and will always mean everything to her.  She had 5 beautiful grandchildren that enriched her life even further.

Throughout those years Linda operated a daycare out of her home and she cared for many children.  Her most precious daycare children were her niece and nephew, Amanda and Brent Yourglich.

She later met and married Stephen Adams on August 30, 2008 and they moved to Idaho Falls.  They were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple 4 years later, on August 30, 2012.  They had a happy life together and Linda was extremely thankful for the support and companionship that Stephen gave her.   She needed a lot of help and he was there for her the whole journey.  Together, they served a fulfilling LDS mission for 7 years at the Idaho Falls Bishop's storehouse.  She helped many people who came in to pick up food, not only by providing the food they needed but also by giving caring and compassion to everyone.  She would often stop working at filling the order and would just sit with people and listen and talk.  She often said her real job at the storehouse to pass out love.  She had a gift of connecting to others and many people were touched by her kindness.

Linda was an active member of the LDS church.  She loved the Lord and deeply believed in and lived her religion.  It was the foundation of her life, from which she drew much strength.

Linda was one of the most down-to-earth, easy going, matter of fact people you'd ever meet.  She loved to talk, to tell stories, and to make people laugh.  She had a great sense of humor and could almost always find something to laugh about, often making jokes about her own dilemmas.  She loved spending time with family and was especially close to her 4 sisters.  She was very thankful for her large and supportive extended family as well, all the aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.  Everyone loved Linda very much.

She was proceeded in death by her mother, Doris Nield Gardner.  Her mother was the single most influential person in Linda's life and they have been joyfully re-united, along with Linda's brother, Danny Craig and all 4 of her grandparents.  It was a happy day in heaven on November 9th.

She is survived by her children Monique (Jeremy) Klein, Ana-Lisa (Tony) Rosanova, and Tanner Cerrillo, along with her 5 grandchildren, Samantha (13), Parker (10), Collin (8), Hudson (5), and Brooks (3), also her father, Joey (Sharon) Gardner, her 4 sisters; Sherrie (Ron) Pruett, Dianne (Randy) Norton, Angie (Brad) Ferrell, and Janet (Matt) Yourglich, along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the Sage Lakes LDS Ward Chapel, 3370 North 500 West, Idaho Falls.  The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m., prior to services at the church. Internment will be held at the Firth Cemetery.  Memories and condolences can be shared with her family online at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
