Lois Larch Orme, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away July 4, 2012, at Quinn Meadows Rehab and Care in Pocatello, Idaho. She was born March 3, 1930, the daughter of Louis C. Larch and Clarabelle Wilkes Larch. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1948. On August 4, 1950, she married Marion Pratt Orme. He passed away October 11, 1984. Lois lived her life in Idaho Falls where she and Marion raised 4 children. She worked as a bookkeeper for various firms. For the past three years, Lois has lived with her daughter, Stephanie, in Pocatello. Together they purchased and remodeled Lois' dream house. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lois was an avid golfer and lifetime member of the Idaho Falls Women's Golf Association. She and Marion loved to golf, play bridge, and go to Star Valley Ranch. Lois enjoyed doing needlepoint and playing Mah Jong and doing jigsaw puzzles on her computer. She also made Christmas stockings for her family. She loved to travel to visit her sons and their families. Several times, she enjoyed trips to Hawaii and Mexico. Everyone who knew Lois knew what her opinions were; she was never shy. She also kept her friends in her heart forever. She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She is survived by her children: Debbie (Larry) Jones of Idaho Falls and Stephanie Orme of Pocatello; Todd Parley (Camille) Orme of Holladay, Utah, and Timothy Larch (Kathleen) Orme of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; a sister, Dorothy Larch Brown of Covina, California; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and her husband, Marion, Lois was preceded in death by a sister, Beth McDonald. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be made to the Elks Rehabilitation Hospital, 600 N. Robbins Rd; Boise, ID 83702.
