Obituary

Lois W. Park, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away from complications related to age on Friday, April 13, 2012, surrounded by her family in Highland, Utah. She was born February 19, 1924, in Provo, Utah, to Willard Phillip Williams and Maria Christina Thompson Williams. On August 14, 1940, she married John J. Park in Orem, Utah. This marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on February 22, 1975. Lois was an Avon representative for almost 45 years and made many friends during those years. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many leadership positions in the Primary, Sunday school and Relief Society. She served a mission in the Idaho Falls Family History Library. Lois treasured her family the most; she also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, reading, good music, camping, family reunions, and serving others in whatever capacity she could. She willingly and lovingly shared her warmth, talents, friendship and beautiful smile with all who came in contact with her. Lois is survived by 3 sons: Clinton (Helen) Park of Duchesne, Utah; Max (Gayle) Park of Highland, Utah; and Michael (Mary Lou) Park of Salt Lake City, Utah; 2 daughters: Sharol (Don) Whitaker of Idaho Falls and Annette Larsen of Meridian, Idaho; 29 grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Norma Hiatt of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kathryn LeCheminant; a son, Wayne Park; 2 brothers: Bill Williams and Max Williams; 3 sisters: Elleanora Skinner, Edith Jones, and Maurine Madsen. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Ashford Memory Care and Alpha Omega Hospice in Highland, Utah, for the superb care they provided. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 18, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS 10th Ward Chapel, 1200 Dunbar. The family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., and at the church one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.coltrinmortuary.com
