Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother Lola Alice Dayley Thompson (93) passed away on November 15, 2005 at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Born on April 30, 1912, in Parker, Fremont County, Idaho to Phoebe Ann Stoddard and Myron Maine Dayley. Married to John Ashworth "Cat" Thompson on August 22, 1932. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Lola was intelligent, energetic, beautiful, creative, and interested in all kinds of sports. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked in the Primary for 15 years as, teacher, counselor, in the presidency, and worked two years in Stake Primary. She was age group counselor in the Stake YWMIA for five years. She also served as a secretary in the Sunday School.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Ashworth "Cat" Thompson and her parents and three sisters Geneva, Verda, and Roberta.
She is survived by daughter Judy (Devon) Sanderson; son, John Ashworth Jr. (Jerry) Thompson; son, James Alan Thompson; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Barbara (Dan) Edginton, Myrtle (Reed) Boyce, Donna (Juan Del) Tracy, and Dorothy (Paul) Hanna.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, at the Idaho Falls 9th Ward, 395 Second Street. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho and for one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park in Idaho Falls.
