Louise Melda Jones, 83, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died September 23, 2005 at the Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.
She was born Nov. 15, 1921, in Woodville, Idaho, the daughter of George Franklin and Sarah Elizabeth Fowler Colby. She grew up and attended school in Woodville.
On July 22, l938, she married Abraham Simpson in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He died Aug. 13, l979. She married Edward Wayne Jones Aug. 4, l986. He died Jan. 16, 1991. She spent a short time living in Lorenzo, and the rest of her adult life in Idaho Falls. She was a homemaker. She taught Sunday School and was active in the Salvation Army. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and attending church. Louise was loved by everyone she knew and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, William I. Simpson of Idaho Falls, five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Abraham Simpson, and Edward Jones; a son, Jay; grandson, William, great grandchildren, Vanessa and Timothy Simpson
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005, at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary of Idaho Falls.
