Obituary

Lourena Pierce Miller, 86, of Rigby, died Nov. 26, 2007, at the Rexburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Decatur, Nebraska, January 7, 1921, the only child of Carroll and Opal Hennig. She grew up and attended schools in Nebraska until she was in high school when her family moved to Portland, Oregon. She completed high school there. She married Warren Pierce. They were deeded a small farm from Warren's father in Annis, Idaho, and it was here they built a home and farmed. Her husband's career took them back to Oregon. In 1964, Warren was killed in an automobile accident and she and her children moved back to the farm in Annis. In 1965, she married John Miller and moved from the farm in Annis to Rigby where she resided most of her life. Due to failing health in 2000, she has spent the last seven years at the Rexburg Nursing Home.

She enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, relaxing and traveling with friends.

The epitaph of Lou's life will be her abundant good will for all people and her never ending smile; her hallmark was her positive attitude.

Survivors include a son, Robert Pierce and 2 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, and a son.

The family will receive friends from 4p.m.- 8p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2007, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
