Obituary

Gloria Lynn Higley Dickemore, 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Promontory Point Rehabilitation.

Lynn was born on April 28, 1942, in Ogden, Utah, to Clarence Paul Higley and Nola Irene Simpson Higley. She grew up in Hooper, Utah. She graduated from Weber High School in 1960 and attended one year at Weber State University.

On December 6, 1963, Lynn married Ron D. Dickemore in Hooper, Utah, and was later sealed in the Logan Temple on May 16, 1965.

Because of Ron's job, they made their home in several different places in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Oregon. They finally made their home in Idaho Falls.

Lynn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Due to some of the smaller branches she lived in, she held many positions in the church.

She loved to volunteer. In Price and Monticello, Utah, she made floats for parades. She also dressed up for story time at the Price City Library. In Idaho Falls, Idaho, she made dozens of quilts for the Humanitarian Center. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, doing needlework, and genealogy. She also enjoyed spending time gardening and working in her flower beds.

She was a very loving, caring, and thoughtful person who loved serving other people.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Ron D. Dickemore of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her daughters: Terri Lynn Dickemore (Steve) Robb of Smithfield, Utah, Stephanie Dickemore (David) Whitesell of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Tracy Dickemore (Roger) Simmons of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her son, Chad R. (Kathy) Dickemore of Hamilton, Montana; her brother, Jerry (Gerry) Higley of Hooper, Utah; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
