Lynn Richard Huffaker, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Good Samaritan Center-Idaho Falls Village of natural causes. He was born April 28, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Allen Cromwell Huffaker and Sarah Theressa Merrill Huffaker. He grew up in Menan and in 1952, graduated from Rigby High School. After moving to Idaho Falls, he met his eternal companion, Beverly Mae Bulkley, and on November 2, 1956, they were married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Lynn served in the U. S. Army from 1957-1964. He was a long distance truck driver for over forty-five years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully throughout his life; he especially loved serving in the Temple. As a young man, he served a mission to the New England States and Canada in 1955. Lynn loved fishing, hunting, reading, woodworking, studying history, and was an avid gardener which he took great pride in; he was especially known for his exceptional gladiolus. Lynn was a kind, loving husband and father. He is survived by the following: sons: Mark Lynn Huffaker of Idaho Falls and Scott Craig (Lisa) Huffaker of Pocatello; sisters: Beth (Fred) Wald of Salt Lake City; Gay (Lester) Clark of Menan, Patricia (Ross) McMullen of Wendell, North Carolina; Deana Turman of Missoula, Montana; Arba Huffaker of Idaho Falls; a sister-in-law, Laura Huffaker of Rigby; and a brother, Robert (Karen) Huffaker of Menan. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Beverly, who passed away August 14, 2010; a son, Eric Huffaker; and a brother, Merrill Huffaker. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013, at the Idaho Falls LDS North Stake Center, 955 Memorial Drive. The family will visit with friends Sunday, January 27, 2013 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, and Monday one hour prior to the services at the church.
