Mac Byram Taylor was born January 16, 1929, in Ucon, Idaho, and passed away on October 12, 2017, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, surrounded by his children.

Mac was a very hardworking and successful businessman, having owned and operated Decker's Inc., in Idaho Falls and Boise.  He was a strong mentor to family and his business associates.

He loved the outdoors and spent a lot of time trail riding and camping with his family and friends.  He loved horses whether he was raising them, riding them or racing them.   He was a dedicated, caring father and loyal friend.

Mac is survived by his sisters:  Delores Thueson (Lynn) and Orial Cottle (Jay); his five children:  Brent Taylor (Vicki); Greg Taylor (Chris); Teresa Taylor; Kurt Taylor (Leisa); and Nita Bloxham (Kevin); as well as 19 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Marion and Nellie Taylor; and his sister, Geraldine Kinghorn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 17, 2017, and one hour prior to services both at Coltrin Mortuary.
