Mae Glazier Hoffman, 82, passed away January 8, 2015 in Ammon, Idaho. Mae was born May 2, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Roy & Lorena Mae Bills Glazier, and was the youngest of 11 children. Mae graduated from South High School in Salt Lake City, and married Stanley Lawrence Hoffman on January 16, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles, California LDS temple in 1982. The family moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 1955. Mae enjoyed and excelled in her role as a mother, homemaker, and wife. She served for many years in the Women's Auxiliary at the LDS hospital. She enjoyed singing with Choralairs, and volunteered at Mountain View Hospital. Her kind, gentle and caring deposition gave her a great desire to serve those around her. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in many callings. She particularly enjoyed her time working as a volunteer in the Idaho Falls Temple. She successfully indexed over 145,000 names for the LDS Family History Library. Mae had a deep love for reading, music and a passion for BYU sports. She is survived by her children: Jeff (Julie) Hoffman of Simi Valley, California, LeeAnn (Brian) Christensen, Paula (Rich) Winn, both of Ammon, Idaho, Teri Hoffman of Kenmore, Washington, and Randy (Michell) Hoffman of Middleton, Idaho; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Also, she survived by her siblings: Carol (Lyle) Sweeten of Lindon, Utah, and June (Leo) Harris of Torrance, California. She is preceded in death by her brothers William, Clarence (Huck), Harold, Calvin, and sisters LaVaughn, Venice, Rosetta, and Marjorie. She also was preceded by her husband Stanley Hoffman (2003) and one grandson, Jeramie Mitchell (1999). Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Ammon LDS 4th Ward building, 4375 E. Sunnyside Rd. The viewing will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2015, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the Tuesday services at the church.
