Obituary

Manfred "Manny" Werner Deede, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at his home. Manny was born on November 1, 1953, to Hans M. and Ella Balzman Deede, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. When he turned 4 the family moved to Ammon. Manny graduated from Bonneville High School in 1972. In 1975, he married Patricia Willis, together they had three children. They later divorced. In 2005, he married Cindy Paradez. Cindy died three years later. He lived in the Idaho Falls and Ammon area his entire life. He was a cook/and or chef in various restaurants in Idaho Falls. The last one being O'Brady's on West Broadway, until his health caused his retirement. Manny was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. In his twenty's and thirty's he was an active member of the Idaho Falls J.C.'s and Toast Masters Club. Through his forty's he volunteered at The Club and at State Mental Health. He enjoyed music, writing, poetry, sketching pictures, fishing, playing cards, numerous forms of puzzles and riding his bicycle. But his biggest LOVE was spending time with his family and his many, many friends. He is survived by his son, Jeramie Deede, of Idaho Falls, ID His daughter, Tawnya (Rick) Leypoldt, of Ammon, ID His daughter, Heather (Matt) Dahamel, of Bountiful, UT His sister, Ursula (Jan) Walsh-Gysels, of Martinez, GA His brother, Hans (Lenea) Deede, of Shelley, ID Step-sister, Christeen (Kyle) Denning, of Fallbrook, CA Step-sister, Marilyn (Steven) Winter, of Sun City, AZ Step-sister, Shirley Groves, of Pasco, WA Step-brother, Gerald (Denys) Wheeler, of Sun City, AZ Step-brother, Clint (Susan) Wheeler, of Shelley, ID and 6 grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Cindy; his parents, Hans M. and Ella Deede and his step-mother, Helen Wheeler Deede. Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
