Margaret "Peggy" Kelly Matthews, 76, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was under the care of Brio Hospice.

Peggy was born March 10, 1947, the second of eight children born to William and Martha Kelly of Fair Haven, New Jersey.  Peggy graduated from Rumson Fair Haven High School and was employed at Riverview Medical Center for 23 years in the Business Office, Alcoholism Recovery Room, and Public Affairs Office.  Peggy was also employed at Brookdale Community College in the Athletic Department for many years prior to retirement where she spent time enjoying the Florida sunshine.

Peggy is survived by her son, Robert William Matthews (wife, Bridget, grandsons: Josh and Robert, and granddaughter, Rachel); her daughter, Kelly Ann Matthews (partner, David Baker, grandson, Cullen Calais Barnhart);  her brother, William Kelly (Billie Kelly); sister, Katherine Kelly; brother, Thomas Kelly (Evie Kelly); sister, Patricia Kelly; brother, Robert Kelly (Sue Witman); sister, Nancy Simano (Jeff Simano);  many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Peggy's final days were spent next to her daughter Kelly and Kelly's partner David. Peggy will be missed for her truth-telling honesty, her beautiful laugh, and her love for her children.  Keep an eye on us from up above Mom.  May peace be with you.

In honor of Peggy's wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial. Cremation is under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
