Maria de Jesus Mena, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away on June 25, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Maria was born on March 30, 1961, in Guadalajara, Mexico to Jesus Villegas and Ofelia Olmedo. She grew up in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico with her parents and seven brothers and sisters.

On July 11, 2003, she married Juan Carlos Mena, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was previously married to John Paul Crum. Before settling in Idaho Falls, Idaho she had previously lived in Greyson, Kentucky and Silverton, Idaho.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Maria enjoyed cooking, crocheting and knitting, shopping, listening to music, dancing, and above all else spending time with her loved ones.

She is survived by her husband, Juan Carlos Mena of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her daughters: Jazmin (Luis) Garcia of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Joanna Crum of Long Beach, California; her son, John Paul (Jennifer) Crum Jr. of Mountain Home, Idaho; her stepsons: Christian (Natali) Mena of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Juan Carlos (Martha) Mena Jr. of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Isaac Mena of Isla de Maipo, Chile; her father, Jesus Villegas of Guadalajara, Mexico; her brothers: Martin (Adriana) Villegas of Casa Grande, Arizona, Angel (Blanca) Villegas, Eduardo (Liz) Villegas, and Francisco (Juana) Villegas all of Guadalajara, Mexico; her sister, Martha (Juan Carlos) Villegas of Guadalajara, Mexico; and 7 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ofelia Olmedo; and her sister, Ofelia Villegas Olmedo.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2023, at 2051 S. Emerson, Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
