She was born February 27, 1920, in Butte, Montana, to Archie C. Frye and Bernice Van Stein Frye. She grew up and attended schools in Butte. Following graduation, she attended Butte Business College and later moved to Idaho Falls.
On December 7, 1950, she married Robert Earl Phillips in Idaho Falls at the Trinity Methodist Church. He died Aug. 19, 1970.
She worked for Skaggs Drug Store and then for the City of Idaho Falls Water Department.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and the B. P.O. E. No. 1087.
She enjoyed playing the piano, had a fun sense of humor and appreciated any kindness extended to her from her neighbors.
She is survived by two sons: Larry Hamilton of Denver, Colorado; and Bruce Hoar; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Phillips.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls.
