Marjorie Long Poulter, 87, of Idaho Falls, died April 26, 2014 at her home. She was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. She was born September 20, 1926 in Idaho Falls to Howard and Erna Drewes Long. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Idaho Falls High School in 1944. Marjorie married Edwin Frank Poulter January 4, 1945 in Idaho Falls. They lived in Idaho Falls and Menan. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was active in church activities including the Braille Group, choir and bible studies. She particularly loved playing pinochle with a lifelong group of friends, and also enjoyed gardening, singing and reading. Marjorie is survived by the following: Husband, Edwin Poulter, of Idaho Falls, ID; Sons: Jim Poulter, of Moore, Idaho; Brent Poulter (Jenni), of Plano, Idaho; Craig Poulter, of Cottonwood, Arizona, and Jon Poulter, of Las Vegas, Nevada; Daughter, Cindy Jicha (Thomas) of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Sisters, Dorothy James of Twin Falls, Idaho and Karen Davis (Paul) of Boise, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Norma Davis; and her son, Brad Poulter. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 290 7th Street Idaho Falls, with rev. Gerald Reinke officiating.
