Marlyn was born on August 12, 1937 in New Deal, MT to Leonard Reeser and Cora Bauken who were later divorced. His parents, Sam and Cora Miller raised a big family which included Marlyn, his brother, sister, 8 step-siblings, and 5 half siblings. He graduated from Filer High School in Filer, Idaho in 1956.
After high school Marlyn enlisted in the United States Navy for 4 years where he studied computer programming.
Marlyn married Laura Lutz on January 15, 1962 in Shelby, MT. They raised four sons.
Marlyn worked at the INL from 1964 to his retirement at 10:30 a.m. January 31, 1995. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed going to ballgames, and watching his sons grow into fine men. He loved going to sporting events with his grandchildren.
Marlyn is survived by his wife of 47 years, 4 sons; Bill, Pete, Brett, and Paul (Kelli); 4 wonderful grandchildren, Bryna, Nycole, Bryce, and Emmit; and is a proud great-grandparent to Korbin, and Lillian.
Marlyn was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Reeser; his mother, Cora Miller; step-father, Sam Miller; and step-mother Dot Reeser.
As per Marlyn's wishes, no services will be held. Family will meet with friends from 2-4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Marlyn & Laurie's home, 1577 Canyon Ave. Idaho Falls. Condolences may be sent online at www.coltrinmortuary.com
