Obituary

Marsha H. Ricks, 61, of Ammon, died Friday, April 7, 2017, at her home. She was under the care of her family and Aspen Home Health and Hospice.

She was born on April 24, 1955, to Robert Harlow and La Dean Murray Hendricks, in Soda Springs, Idaho. She was the paternal twin sister to Morgan Hendricks. She grew up in the Grace/Blackfoot area. She graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1973. She received an Associate's Degree at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.

On September 21, 1985, she married her true love, Troy Owen Ricks, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Marsha worked as a bank teller in Blackfoot, Idaho. She then worked as a secretary at EG&G Site and various other site locations. She was a secretary at Care Free Homes in Idaho Falls, and worked at the Idaho State University Student Union Building and ISU Extension on Energy Drive. She knew shorthand, was an excellent organizer and proofreader.

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the Primary and Relief Society.

She loved to sing in the ward choir, play guitar, crocheting, bead work and floral design. She enjoyed cooking, reading books and proof-reading for her friends and family.

Marsha was a great wife, mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She was very honest with her dealings with her fellowman, she was detailed oriented and hardworking; even when she was very ill. She was a friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Troy Owen Ricks, of Ammon, Idaho; her daughter Amber (Stephen) Beasley, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her sister, Pamela (Bob) Carey, of Blackfoot, Idaho; her brothers: Robert Dean (Marilee) Hendricks, of Logan, Utah, Mike (LaRita) Hendricks, of Firth, Idaho, and Morgan (Mariam) Hendricks, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and 2 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert Harlow and La Dean Murry Hendricks.

Graveside services were held at Grove City Cemetery in Blackfoot, Idaho. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
