Obituary

Mary Louise (Rosie) Williams passed away on January 30, 2020, in the care of Solace Hospice at Fairwinds Sand Creek in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was born on October 11, 1929, in Ohio to Homer Dempsey and Blanche Robertson Rose. She grew up with her siblings on a farm in southern Illinois. Rosie was only 10 years of age when her mother died. They stayed on the farm until their move to Idaho Falls.

Rosie graduated from Idaho Falls High School and then met her future husband, Fred Blaser Williams. They had three children, Doug, and twins, Jack and Judy.

Looking for opportunities in education for their children, they moved to San Diego California in 1958. Rosie worked as a bookkeeper in medical offices until she retired at age 62.

She enjoyed a wonderful retirement; cruising approximately 33 times with friends and family, enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a long time seamstress and quilter.

Rosie believed in God and served her neighbors in countless ways. She worked diligently to provide for her family. Among her many gifts, she was generous, a great storyteller, and had a quick sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1986 and by her beloved son, Doug in 2009.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy and son-in-law, Douglas of Elkhart, IN; her son, Jack of San Diego California; a brother, Howard currently living in Texas; her sister, Judy of Illinois. Rosie has 6 grandchildren; Paul, Dougie, Joey, Mason, Spencer, and Molly Rose. She also has 10 great-grandchildren.

We will all miss her dearly and are extremely grateful for her life. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, Idaho.
