Marylyn Anne
Michaud
August 1, 1936 – April 2, 2026
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Central Ave
11:00 am - 12:00 pm (Mountain time)
Our beloved mother, Marylyn Anne Michaud, age 89, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of April 2, 2026, with her eldest daughter, Beverly, by her side.
Marylyn was born August 1, 1936, in Trenton, New Jersey, to Lester Crowell Fort and Anne Claire Graycar Fort. She grew up alongside her two siblings, Diane and Carlton. For 54 years, she was the devoted wife of Richard E. Michaud. After his passing, she looked forward with faith to the day they would be reunited in heaven, along with their daughter, Ellen Elizabeth, and other cherished loved ones who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children: Michael Michaud, Beverly Beck, Michelle Crook, and Mary Wright; as well as 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren (with more on the way).
A woman of deep conviction, Marylyn’s greatest legacy was the love of family and faith in the Lord that she passed down through generations. While raising her children in Florida, she held various roles within her community and church, always prioritizing being present at home. Later in life, she served as a records clerk for the North Miami Beach City Hall. She and her husband spent their retirement in Maine. At the age of 76, demonstrating her lifelong commitment to service, she embarked on a mission to Budapest, Hungary, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Marylyn found joy in the simple things: crafting, swimming, and reading. Her home was a sanctuary of peace, often filled with the sound of her humming as she cared for her family. She was a "friend to all" who kept an open door for anyone needing a meal, a game, or a listening ear. To know Marylyn was to feel truly heard and loved.
Celebration of Life, a service to honor Marylyn’s life and legacy, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3000 Central Ave, Ammon.
The family welcomes all who knew and loved Marylyn to join us in honoring her beautiful life.
