Melissa (Jorgensen) Stockhoff, loving wife, and mother of three children passed away on August 10, 2021, at the age of 39, at the University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas.

Melissa was born on January 15, 1982, in Idaho Falls, ID to Lynn and Colette (Oakey) Jorgensen. Melissa graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 2000 and then attended Ricks College in Rexburg, ID. She married Andy Stockhoff in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 2007, and they were raising three beautiful children together: Noah, Clare, and Abe.

Melissa loved her life. She enjoyed staying active through hikes, bike rides, running, and long walks with family and friends. She loved traveling to new places—near and far. And of course, finding delicious food was always high on the priority list! Yet, Melissa's highest priority was to serve those around her. She found great joy in recognizing others' needs and then immediately getting to work to lighten their burdens—even as she carried her own heavy burdens. Without question, Melissa's greatest joy was serving her own family and raising her three children, whom she loved more than words can describe. To her, there was no greater call in life. Melissa will be sorely missed, but we are all left inspired by the life that she lived.

Melissa is survived by: her husband, Andy; their three children: Noah (12), Clare (10), and Abe (7); her father, Lynn Jorgensen; her siblings: Nate Jorgensen, Michael Jorgensen, and Whitney (Jorgensen) Rice; and many nieces and nephews. Melissa is preceded in death by her mother, Colette Oakey Jorgensen (January 16, 1956 – April 16, 2021).

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 645 Knights Cross Dr, San Antonio, TX 78258 (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints). There will be a reception from 5:30 – 6:25 p.m., and the memorial service will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 20, 2021, at the Idaho Falls South Stake Center, 2051 S. Emerson Ave, Idaho Falls. A viewing will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls, and from 9-10:00 a.m., prior to the services. The services will be broadcast via Facebook live at https://fb.me/e/4hcb5aArp .  Melissa will be buried next to her mother, Colette, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
