Michelle LaNae Horton, 54, of Ammon, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at her home after battling ALS (Lou Gehrig's). She was under the care of her family and OneSource Hospice.
Michelle was born on October 8, 1966, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Dwain H and Louise Bowles Judy. She grew up in Boise, Middleton, Idaho Falls, and Ammon. She graduated from Bonneville High School in 1986.
On March 17, 2000, she married her sweetheart, George Leroy Horton, in Lake Tahoe, California. She was previously married to Jerry Keele and they were later divorced. She had 2 daughters, Sara and Lindsay.
She worked various jobs and she especially loved driving the TRPTA bus because she loved the people. In her free time, she enjoyed gambling, fishing, camping, card games, and mostly just being with her family.
She was like a stick of dynamite, you didn't want to make her mad. She was simple and she was who she was.
She is survived by her husband, George Horton of Ammon, ID; her daughters: Sara Nicholson of Richland, WA, and Lindsay Carnahan of Boise, ID; her grandchildren: Jaedyn and Alexys Carnahan of Shelley, ID, Brooklyn and Dakotah Nicholson of Richland, WA, and Kambry Judy of Shelley, ID; her brother, Kirk (Jerda) Judy, of Shelley, ID; her niece and nephew, Annalei and Kaleb Judy of Shelley, ID.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwain and Louise Judy.
Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2021, at Ammon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Due to COVID restrictions, only 10 people are allowed at a time. Please be patient with the family at this time. .
