Mildred Farrer Poulter Atamanczyk, age 88, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Pinebrook Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls from complications of Alzheimers. She was born in Shelley Idaho on November 15, 1921 to Emmett James and Helen Irene Farrer, the oldest of three children. She was raised in Shelley, Ammon and Idaho Falls. Mildred graduated from high school in 1939. She was baptized a member of the LDS church at the age of 19. She married Norell Poulter on April 18, 1945 and was sealed to him in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 14, 1946. To this union were born 6 children. After the children were raised, she worked in various housekeeping jobs, retiring from Intermountain Health Care. She held numerous jobs in the church in Primary and Relief Society and worked in Spanish Extraction for several years. She especially enjoyed Family History and reading. Norell passed away on July 9, 1975. In July of 1981 she married Walter Atamanczyk. He passed away on February 17, 2005. Mildred is survived by 3 children; Barbara (Ramses) David, Carson City, Nevada; Greg (Aase), Idaho Falls; and Janet Smith of Idaho Falls; 20 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, Ruth Simmons and Lois Stephens, both husbands, 3 children, Michael, Valerie and Douglas and a great grandson, Kody. Graveside services will be conducted by Bishop Greg Poulter at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls and from 12-1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Coltrin Mortuary prior to the Graveside Services.
