Mildred H. Stringham, 93, of Idaho Falls, died August 31, 2008, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, of causes incident to age.
She was born July 13, 1915, in Marysville, Idaho, to Abraham Baron Hillam and Mamie Ann Taylor.
She married James E. Stringham on March 20, 1940, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
She and her husband, James, farmed near Ashton, Idaho. After their retirement they bought a home in Idaho Falls to be close to the Temple. James passed away in 1991.
She served in the LDS church in many positions including teacher, secretary of many organizations, Relief Society President, and temple worker.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, camping, and playing games. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mildred was a hard worker. Her number one priority in life was her family.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Crouch of Rexburg, Idaho; four children, Nadene (Arthur) Reich of West Jordan, Utah, Mark J. (Jennifer) Stringham of Kent, Washington, Lila (James M) Besendorfer of Nephi, Utah, Ilene (Dan) Franck of Idaho Falls, 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, seven brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2008, at the Idaho Falls 7th Ward, 955 Memorial Drive. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m., at the church prior to the services. Burial will be in the Pineview Cemetery in Ashton.
