IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Monty Dale
Davis
January 24, 1967 – April 29, 2024
Monty Dale Davis, 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Monty was born on January 24, 1967, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Hal and Devona Davis would adopt him shortly thereafter where he would join his loving family with 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
He graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1985. Shortly after graduating, he received his call to serve as an LDS missionary in Atlanta, Georgia. While being there he found his 2 favorite teams, the Atlanta Braves and the University of Georgia Bulldogs.
While working with his brother in Utah and attending college he would go on to meet his wife, Shelli Anne Peterson. They would be married in September of 1988. Following they would welcome 4 children: Kory, Haylee, Zackary, and Brody. Monty and Shelli have 3 grandchildren.
Monty spent his life serving others. It didn't matter where you were, what job, family, friend, or a neighbor in need. He lived for his kids and his grandchildren. Spending his days off, always helping or planning to do whatever things they needed "Papa Monty" to do.
He loved being outdoors, his favorite place in the world was tucked away in the Sawtooth's, Redfish Lake. Monty grew up camping there as a child and would go on to take his kids and grandkids to continue the tradition. If he wasn't camping, he was outside golfing, cooking, riding side by side, or just sitting on his porch where he would make call after call to friends and family. To talk sports, joke around, wish happy birthday, and just always make sure everyone was in a better mood.
Monty is survived by his wife, Shelli Davis; His children: Kory Davis, Haylee (Jake) Murdock, Zackary Davis, and Brody Davis; and 3 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Hal Walter Davis and Devona Juen Davis.
Monty was loved by all of those who met and knew him. He will be greatly missed.
