She was born on a farm in Floyd County, Texas, the third of six siblings, on January 12, 1927 to William Masters and Ola Kennedy Masters.
She married Merlin Summers and they later divorced. On May 6, 1954, she married Osborne Alexander Goetz in Las Vegas, Nevada. They resided in Shelley until 1959 when they moved to a farm in New Sweden.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, farming with her husband, and shopping and playing bridge with her many friends.
She is survived by the following: children, Dee (Terri) Summers of Austin, Texas; Martin Goetz of Idaho Falls; Ron (Peggy) Summers of Idaho Falls; Sande Goetz of Idaho Falls; Alex (Susan) Goetz of Gig Harbor, Washington; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Marshall Masters of California and two sisters, Helen Hitchaker of Texas and Geneva Cardell of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, "Ozzie", and two brothers, Bill and Alton Masters, and a grandson, Eric Summers..
Graveside services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2007, at New Sweden Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 11: a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls.
