Nada Gene Eddie, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Nada was born on July 22, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Wendal R. Rushton and Grace Louise Koch Rushton. She grew up in Iona and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1958. Following high school, she attended beauty school.
On April 7, 1961, Nada married the love of her life, Bobbie Gene Eddie, in Idaho Falls. Together, they built their life and raised their family in the Idaho Falls and Ririe communities.
Throughout her life, Nada worked in several different roles. She enjoyed her time as a car hop at A&W Root Beer and later worked for Bonneville School District 93 as both a cook and a bus driver. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who found joy in the simple things of life and in spending time with those she loved.
Nada was a Presbyterian and cherished her faith and family.
She had many interests and hobbies that brought her happiness over the years. She loved quilting and embroidery and enjoyed camping, playing cards, reading, word games, and traveling. She especially appreciated the time spent making memories with family and friends.
Nada is survived by her husband, Bobbie Eddie of Idaho Falls; daughter, Barbara (Erick) Carlson of Idaho Falls; son, Kurt (Mickie) Eddie of Idaho Falls; grandsons, Gefforey (Kyrie) Carlson of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, Nickolas Carlson of Idaho Falls, Shane Brown of Idaho Falls, and Lance Brown of Idaho Falls; sister, Ann (Bob) Conibear of Rathdrum, Idaho; brothers, David (JoAnn) Rushton of Idaho Falls and John Rushton of Idaho Falls; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Wendal Rushton.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 14, 2026, at Ammon Cemetery.
