Obituary

Gloria Nadine (Rollison) Wasley, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, at the age of 95.

Nadine was born at home on November 5, 1929, in Wapello, Idaho, to George Newell Rollison and Virginia Emma Just Rollison. She grew up in humble beginnings on the family farm near Blackfoot, where she learned the values of faith, hard work, and perseverance. She was the third of five children and cherished her close-knit family life, despite the hardships of farm living without modern conveniences.

After graduating from Blackfoot High School in 1947, Nadine pursued her dream of becoming a nurse. She trained at the LDS School of Nursing in Idaho Falls and continued advanced studies at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Her nursing career became her life's calling. For the next 30 years, she worked as a surgical scrub nurse at the LDS Hospital/Riverview Hospital in Idaho Falls while also teaching nursing at Ricks College for 20 of those years. Nadine later worked in surgical centers in Idaho Falls, including the Idaho Eye Center, until her retirement at the young age of 83. Her compassion and skill blessed countless lives.

While in nurse's training, Nadine went on a blind date with Richard Wasley. They were married on June 14, 1952, and later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1971. Together, they built a home centered on faith, family, and love. They were blessed with three children: Kirk, Scott, and Lisa.

Nadine loved camping and spending time outdoors with her family, especially at Palisades Reservoir and Redfish Lake. She also enjoyed hiking, water skiing, and cross-country skiing. She was a master gardener, seamstress, and teacher. She lived a life of service both within her family and her faith. As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she devoted herself to many callings and treasured the lasting friendships that came through her service.

Nadine is survived by her sons, Kirk Wasley and Scott (Tammy) Wasley; her son-in-law, Raymond Keating; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents, her siblings, and her dear daughter Lisa Keating.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. September 29, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Osgood Church), 7940 North 35th West, Idaho Falls.
