Nancy Schneider, 82, of Ammon, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the Hospice of Eastern Idaho Hospice Home.

Nancy was born on September 29, 1933 in Fresno, California, to Wesley and Gertrude Varnell. She grew up in Wasco, California. She graduated from Wasco High School in 1951 and graduated from Bakersfield Junior College in Business.

On July 3, 1972, she married Robert Schneider.

Nancy worked for Nestle Ice Cream Plant. She enjoyed reading and off road trail riding.

She is survived by her spouse, Robert Schneider, of Ammon, Idaho; her sons: Timothy (Laura) Rice, of Bakersfield, CA, Michael Rice, of Bakersfield, CA, Michael (Julie) Schneider, of Idaho Falls, ID; her daughter, LeAnn (Richard Heydon) Yates, of Frazier Park, CA, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Wesley Varnell; her mother, Gertrude Lindsey; and her brother John Varnell.
