Obituary

Neta Marlene Hansen, 56, of Idaho Falls, died Oct. 27, 2005, in Holladay, Utah, at Wasatch Valley Rehabilitation Center from complications of Parkinson's disease.

She was born Feb. 28, 1949, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Deverl Andrew and Reva Iola Russell Hansen. She attended Lewisville and Emerson Elementary Schools, Central Jr. High and Clare E. Gale Jr. High, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1968. She graduated from the Hollywood Beauty College in l969 and became certified in cosmetology also.

She married Dennis Dale Scott Sept. 4, 1970, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were later divorced. She married Peter John Davis on Aug. 10, 1992 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

During her life she lived in Vallejo, California, where her husband served in the military; Hampton and Smithfield, Virginia; and Buckeye, Arizona.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a Primary teacher, leader in Young Women's, and in the Relief Society.

We, her children, would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts those who touched her life and extended to her hand of hope; we feel a debt that can never be repaid.

Survivors include: son, Paul Allen Scott (Mark), Midvale, Utah daughter, Debra Jean Farris (Kevin), Murray, Utah son, Thomas Ray Scott (Cheryl), Idaho Falls, Idaho sister, Vada Taylor (Duane), Idaho Falls, Idaho brother, Wayne Hansen (Lora), Idaho Falls, Idaho brother, Douglas Hansen (Rosanne), Idaho Falls, Idaho sister, Reva Oelschlager (Rick), Andover, Minnesota sister, Brenda Costley (Kent), West Valley, Utah brother, Brian Hansen (Marie), Twin Falls, Idaho brother, Allen Hansen (Pam), Iona, Idaho sister, Rhonda Hansen (Ginny), Murray, Utah

10 grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls with Bishop Alan Reed officiating. The family will meet with friends from 7-9 p.m. Oct. 31, at the mortuary, and also an hour prior to the services on Tuesday. Burial will be at the Iona Cemetery.
