Obituary

Nina Evelyn Jones Jensen, 78, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born October 4, 1931, in Shelby, Montana, to Benjamin Franklin and Nancy Fern McCord Jones. She was an only daughter. She grew up in Nebraska until she was six years old, and then moved to eastern Idaho. She received her GED in 1993, at the age of 62. She married Blaine R. Jensen in Shelby, Montana, on October 21, 1946. He died November 17, 1979. She worked for several potato houses in St. Anthony and retired from Pillsbury in Shelley. She was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint in 1947. She was baptized in Camas Creek at Kilgore, Idaho. She was a former member of the Moose Lodge and the Ladies VFW. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and playing cards. She loved camping and sitting around the camp fire. Spoiling grandkids was her favorite thing. Mom was a one of a kind mother. She will be missed by many family members and hundred of friends. The family would like to thank the residents of Elk Creek Apartments for all of the love they gave to Nina. She is survived by the following: Daughter, Mina Kay Jensen (Norval) Wease, of Shelley; Sons: Kyle Blaine (Vickie) Jensen and Rex Conrad (Marcy) Jensen both of Idaho Falls;Sons: Billy Joe (Lisa) Jensen and Benny Ray (Teresa) Jensen, both of Belgrade, Montana;Brother, Leonard Albert (Carolyn) Jones, of Whitehall, Montana;Brother, Sidney Lyle Jones, of Sugar City, Idaho;11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Wayne Jones, and an infant grandson, Norval Burkley Wease. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at the Ammon Brookview LDS Ward, 2150 Avocet, with Bishop Gary Barnes officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2010, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls and one hour prior to the services.
