Nona Jean Fullmer Hanson, age 81, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday November 20, 2011 at Mount Vernon Assisted Living Center. Nona was born August 27, l930 in Roberts, Idaho to Reid & Evelean Fullmer. She was the ninth of twelve children. Nona grew up in Menan. She attended grade school in Menan, graduated from Midway High School in 1948. She married Irvin Hanson Jr. on August 18, l951 in Rigby, Idaho and they spent most of their married life in Idaho Falls. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked in retail stores throughout her life. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing and camping with family. After they retired they spent 10 winters in Yuma, Arizona. She is survived by her husband Irvin Hanson, daughter Linda (Greg) Lenz, Sons, Ron (Paula)Hanson and Paul Hanson all of Idaho Falls, nine Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and one sister, Rula Hammond of Toole, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, and 4 sisters. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Mt. Vernon Assisted Living Center and Aspen Home Health and Hospice for their loving care given to Nona. Graveside Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011, at the Taylor Cemetery. The family will meet with friends on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 10-11:30 a.m., prior to the service, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Nona's name to the Idaho Falls Community Food Bank at 245 N. Placer Ave. Idaho Falls, ID 83402-4396.
