She was born September 22, 1918, in Bancroft, Idaho, at her home to Michael and Emily Kelly Whitworth. She grew up in Bancroft and Chesterfield and graduated from Lava High School in 1936.

She married William Frederick Johnson in Salt Lake City on February 4, 1937. William died April 17, 2004.

Nora lived in many places with her husband and her family, including Bancroft, Pocatello, Idaho Falls, Salt Lake City, Denver, Colorado Springs, and Whitesborough, Texas,. The family resettled in Idaho Falls in 1959. She worked at the Rainbow Café and North Hi-Way Café for 40 years, retiring at the age of 80. She and Bill move to Lewisville Highway in 1978, where she remained until her death.

She enjoyed gardening, her family, bowling, and was an avid baseball fan.

She is survived by her daughter Gerri Snarr, of Farmington, Utah; 2 sons, Joe (Trudy) Johnson, of Gilbert, Arizona, and Don (Laurie) Johnson, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; one brother, Herb Whitworth, of Boise, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren She is preceded in death by her husband, six sisters, one brother, one son-in-law, and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street with Bishop Tadd Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at Coltrin Mortuary and one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. Burial will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at the Chesterfield Cemetery, in Chesterfield, Idaho.
