She was adopted at two days old by her loving parents, William Henry Croft and Florence Marie Thornton Croft. She grew up in Iona and spent her summers in the mountains with her family raising sheep. She attended schools in Iona, where she graduated from high school. On January 1, 1943, Norma married Roy Carl Albin Torngren. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple on December 8, 1948. They also had the opportunity to care for two nieces. The family made their home in Iona and farmed in Iona and Osgood. Norma was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in ward and stake leadership and teaching positions. She enjoyed visiting teaching and loved serving in the temple for many years. She always remembered birthdays of her friends and family. Norma always had a large vegetable garden and a beautiful yard and home. She was willing to share and do anything for others. She was a great sports fan, loved to travel, was a very hard worker and a wonderful cook. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in their activities. Norma took great pride in their accomplishments. The last several years of her life brought many physical challenges, which she endured well. She was always loving, kind, and humorous. She appreciated visitors, especially her grandchildren and their families, who always received a hug, kiss, and a treat. She left her family a legacy of love, hard work, service and endurance. She will be missed by all who know and love her.
