Patrick L. Wade (Pat), 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, at his daughter's home in Idaho Falls.
Pat was born June 11, 1939, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Linzo Wade and Winifred Miller Wade. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Idaho Falls High School, graduating in 1957.
In 1959, he started working at the Idaho Nuclear Power Plant as a janitor and retired as an Engineer at the age of 55.
On August 7, 1956, Pat married Nancy Ann Allen in Idaho Falls. To this union, five children were born: Terri, Bobby, Kathryn, Patrick, and Michael. They were married for 56 years before Nancy passed away on March 14, 2013.
Pat was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He looked forward to the NAD annual Steelhead fishing trip with his sons. He also enjoyed golfing, gardening, and camping. He was a camp host at Blacktail Reservoir with his wife. When he was younger, he was a jockey at a weight of 113 pounds.
Pat was a loving, fun, and unique father of five and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children: Terri Wade (Kevin) Sommer of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Bobby Lynn (Mary) Wade of Minneapolis St. Paul, Minnesota, Kathryn Dawn Raymond Wade of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Patrick Nicklaus (Betsy) Wade of Jerome, Idaho, and Michael Richard (Melissa) Wade of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Brothers: Nick Wade and Bill Wade; Sister, Janice Brockelsby; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Ann Wade.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Eagles Lodge, 635 Hemmert Ave. Idaho Falls. Cremation is under the care of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Online condolences w may be sent to www.coltrinmortuary.com .
