Patricia "Patty' Ann Cortez Folk, 49, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 29, 2012 at her home. She was born November 9, 1962, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Noe Cortez and Shirley Harkness She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. She graduated from Bonneville High School. In 1979, she married Paul Wright. Patty lived in Mexico for 14 years and returned back to Idaho Falls in 2009. On July 7, 2009, she married Russell Folk in Idaho Falls. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed going with her husband on long haul jobs, camping, floating, fishing, and anything that had to do with her grandkids. She adored her grandchildren and lived each and everyday of her life to the fullest. She had a loving heart and will be dearly missed by her loving family. Patty is survived by the following: husband, Russell Folk, sons: Bradley (Yvonne) Wright and Johnny Martinez; daughter, Trisha Martinez; step-son: Valkery Folk; parents: Noe Cortez and Shirley (Gale) Harkness; brothers: Travis (Shannon) Harkness; Richard Cortez and Rick (Norma) Cortez; a sister, Veronica Cortez; a half-sister, Pamela Cortez; grandchildren: Isaac Delgado, Carter Wright, Adan and Oscar Nevarez, Teyah Turner, Eli Wright, Mysteri Martinez, Jaysa and Cameron Paulsen, Athena Nevarez, Tommy Wright and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Pete and Deloras Cortez and Elma and Aldon Colby. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2012, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. with Bishop Jerry Tomlinson officiating.
