Patricia Darlene Hunt Schneider, 72, of Idaho Falls, passed away from terminal cancer on April 4, 2013, in her home. She was under the care of her daughters and One Source Hospice. She was born November 11, 1940, in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Charles E. and Claudia LaVera McKee Hunt. She grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. Patricia graduated from high school in 1958. She attended Wheaton College where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts. In 1963, she married Jerry Schneider in Wheaton's Northside Park. Raised in Texas, Patricia also lived in Joliet and Wheaton, Illinois; Cambridge, Newton and Concord, Massachusetts; Dallas and Carrollton Texas; and Iola, Kansas, before moving to Idaho Falls. Patricia was a Christian and a beloved Child of God. She enjoyed birds, reading scripture, family, gardening, animals. She organized a neighborhood watch and she maintained a free sundry and clothing exchange. Patricia was a woman with great hospitality and compassion who dearly loved her friends and family. She could and would make anybody smile and she could even laugh at herself. She is survived by the following: mother, Claudia LaVera Hunt of Dallas, Texas; Sister, Barbara Cook (Gary) Buckler of Dallas, Texas; Daughters: Cybele (Dave Barry) Smith of Darby, Montana, and Brenna (Michael) Rasmussen of Idaho Falls; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, C.E. Hunt, and a brother, Ronald Hunt. Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at the New Life Church, 2170 12th Street Idaho Falls.
