Obituary

Patsy Lee Braun, 88, of Idaho Falls passed away October 27, 2017, at her home at Lincoln Court of Congestive Heart Failure.

She was born October 31, 1928, in Terre Haute, Indiana to John Eddy Hoskins and Mabel Dell Elwell Hoskins. Patsy grew up in Seelyville, Indiana, and graduated from Glenn High School in 1946, as class Valedictorian. She enjoyed singing with the choir, basketball and roller skating in her school years.

On October 14, 1950, she married Arthur William Braun in Seelyville. This marriage was blessed with two sons, Gary William and John Richard. In 1956 when the boys were very young the family moved to Idaho Falls to pursue work and a life out west.

Patsy loved her life and many friends she made there. She devoted her life to being a very loving, caring, hardworking, and very exceptional wife, mother and grandmother that she was.

Patsy worked for Bingham Mechanical for 26 years as Office Manager and was loved and respected by all she worked with. Later she worked for Artistry and Oak, Score, and Idaho Innovation Center.

She had a very special place in her heart for her grandchildren and loved to hear about their many adventures. Patsy had a love of writing. She wrote many short stories about life, family and holidays. She wrote a life history of the Braun family that took her 2 years to complete. She was in the process of writing a book, but her health kept her from finishing it.

In her later years she lived at Lincoln Court where she made many friends. She was resident of the month there and she was really proud of that. Patsy could light up a room with her smile.

She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Bill; her parents, and her sisters: Enola and Alvaretta, her in-laws; Bill had 10 brothers and sisters and many extended families.

She is survived by her sons; Gary (JoAnn) Braun and John (Sandy) Braun; 4 granddaughters: Brandy, Lori, Debbie and Becky; 1 grandson, Jon; and 12 greatgrandchildren.

The family wants to express their thanks to Coltrin Mortuary & Crematory, Lincoln Court Assisted Living, One Source Health and Hospice and a heartfelt thanks to Idaho Heart Institute and Dr. John Chambers.
