She was born October 26, 1929, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Howard Paul and Cora Hylton Bachtell.

On October 20, 1947, she married Milo "Mike" Cherry in Rexburg, Idaho.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mother was kind and generous; her soft-spoken, unconditional acceptance will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her children: Kathryn (Darrus) Martin, Janet Cherry, and Paula Cherry all of Idaho Falls; Jon Cherry of Phoenix, Arizona; and Scott Cherry of Portland, Oregon; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; her sisters, Bonnie Huff of Driggs, Idaho, and Beverly Powell of Ontario, Oregon.

At her request, no funeral services will be held. The family will visit with friends from 3:00 -4:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls.
