Patsy Ruth Durick Mael, 86, of Idaho Falls, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Teton Post-Acute Care and Rehabilitation Center in Idaho Falls.
She was born in Troy, Montana, on April 6, 1931, to Leota and Bernard Durick.
In October 1949, Patsy married her sweetheart, Bernard Mael, who died in May 2002 in Lewiston , Idaho. To this union a daughter was born, Christina.
She was a homemaker and later an accountant for C&B Music & Vending.
Patsy was involved in many things including teaching at St. Mary's Catholic School in Moscow, Idaho. Her passions were God, Jesus and theology. She also loved arts and crafts, sewing, outdoors, and gardening.
She was a truly amazing woman who touched many lives and welcomed everyone she met. And her strong Irish views were only matched by her passion for her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Chris Holden; two brothers: Jack (Verrna) Durick of Pinehurst, Idaho, and Frank (Lois) Turpin of Rhinebeck, New York; her grandson, Jasen Holden; great-granddaughter, Tayler Holden; and Dee and Raina.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Leota and Bernard Durick; her husband, Bernard Mael; and her son-in-law, Dan Holden (who also died in May 2002).
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
