Patsy Ann Adamson Randolph, 84, of Rigby, Idaho died January 6, 2015 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born February 14, 1930, to Eddie and Reba Williams Adamson in Springfield, Missouri. She was second to the youngest child. After graduating from high school, Patsy moved to Pocatello where her sister, Katie, and brother-in-law, Bill lived. Patsy lived at the YWCA and with her sister while employed by Mountain Bell as a telephone operator. It was during her tenure with Mountain Bell that she met William Weaver Randolph. Patsy married William Weaver Randolph on September 19, 1953, and they made their home in Pocatello, Idaho. In 1955, a son, Steven David, was born. In 1956, they moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho where Patsy worked for Shirlynn's Dress Shop. Their daughter, Cynthia Faye, was born in 1957. They remained in Idaho Falls until 1988 when they moved to a new home built by William Weaver in Rigby, Idaho. William Weaver passed away November 15, 2006, and Patsy remained in Rigby taking care of their beautiful yard and home. After her husband's passing, Patsy would spend winter months with her daughter and son-in-law in Kennewick, Washington. Patsy enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as her daughter's many friends. Patsy continued to support and attend luncheons with the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed getting together with her friends at exercise class weekly and talking to her many friends and relatives on the phone. She enjoyed visits with her good friends that lived near by and looked forward to making popcorn for two very special neighbor girls, to whom she was like a grandma. She always made sure she had dog treats for Sadie, who would stroll over daily. One of her most enjoyable pastimes was watching the deer and occasional moose that wandered into her yard. Patsy was a fabulous cook and a very talented seamstress. She liked to read and had a very successful green thumb. Patsy is survived by her son, Steve (Sherry) of Idaho Falls; a daughter, Cynthia F. (Dennis) Rains of Kennewick, Washington; grandchildren: Emily (Ryan) Sullivan, Abigail (Jordan) Hays, Matthew Rains; great grandsons: Canaan Hays, Brayden Sullivan, Grady Sullivan and a Great-great granddaughter, Kamille Hays all of Kennewick, Washington; a sister-in-law, Jennie Adamson of San Marco, California; cousins and many nieces and nephews. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Weaver Randolph; siblings; Kathryn Schiffman, FamaJean Johnson and James Adamson. Graveside services will be conducted at 12 Noon, Friday, January 16, 2015, at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho.
