Obituary

Paula Cherry, 57, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 1, 2013, at her home. She was born August 8, 1956, in Idaho Falls, the 3rd daughter and 4th of 5 children born to Milo Thomas Cherry and Patsy Bachtell Cherry. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. In 1974, she graduated from Skyline High School. She worked for Melaluca and Amerisource. Paula loved the beauty in nature and the simple joys of life. She was an advocate for animals and she tender-heartedly sheltered and cared for strays and discarded pets. Paula was devoted to her friends and family. She cared for her mother after her father passed away and helped with the care of her grandparents prior to their deaths. She took many trips with her sisters, and her favorite place to visit was the Oregon Coast. She was thoughtful and honest. She liked peace and solitude but was devoted to her family and her close friends. She did whatever she could to help the people in her life. She enjoyed photography and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Paula is survived by her sisters: Kathryn (Darrus) Martin and Janet Cherry both of Idaho Falls; brothers: Jon T. Cherry of Phoenix, Arizona, and Scott R. Cherry of Portland, Oregon; special friend, Brian Evans of Idaho Falls; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. The family will visit with friends from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls.
