She was born Sept. 27, 1938, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Garald Cecil Crofts and Veda Perry Crofts She grew up in Iona and Idaho Falls and attended Idaho Falls High School.

On December 17, 1954, she married Gary Edgar Nielsen in Idaho Falls and their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on April 3, 1968.

She worked at Beehive Clothing for the LDS Church .

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served in many positions throughout her life.

Her life was one of loving, giving, and serving; her family was the most important thing in her life and her favorite thing was family gatherings, especially during the holidays.

She is survived by the following: son, Bradley G. (Marina) Nielsen of Idaho Falls son, Randall L. (Judy) Nielsen of West Jordan, UT son, Gregory A. Nielsen of Rexburg daughter, Lori Ann (Monte) Stewart of Idaho Falls son, Shawn G. (Crista) Nielsen of Boise 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary E. Nielsen; parents, Gerald and Veda Crofts; and her brother, Monte G. Crofts.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 4, 2006 at 1 p.m. at the Kearney 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 1860 Kearney, Idaho Falls with Bishop Kerry Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3rd from 6-7:30p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
