Obituary

Perry James Anderson, 96, of Rigby, passed away Jan. 26, 2006, at the Turtle & Crane Assisted Living Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho, of natural causes. He was born Dec. 1, 1909 in Rigby, Idaho, the son of James C. And Martha Maud Perry. He grew up and attended school in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. After graduating from Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, Illinois, he became one of the first electricians in the Rigby area where he also farmed. He also drove a school bus. He married Ada Mary Hatch Mar. 17, 1933, in the Logan LDS Temple. She passed away May 19, 2004. They raised their family and farmed in the Rigby area. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and served as a home teacher, also as a member of the Sunday School Presidency, and Regional Geneological Library for many years. He enjoyed music, record collection, and travel. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include: daughter: Aleeta (Alan) Haws, Ammon, ID daughter: Carmen Anderson, Victor, ID son: Von (Lois) Anderson, Bountiful, UT son: Arden (Julie) Anderson, Shelley, ID sister: Ada Brown, Ririe, ID sister: Ila Fisher, Rigby, Idaho brother: H. Jay (Marie) Anderson, Idaho Falls, ID 14 grandchildren 38 great-grandchildren 11 great-great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada; his son, Garron, a grandson Bryan, and a great-grandson, Jay. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2006 at the Kearney LDS Third Ward Chapel, 1860 Kearney, in Idaho Falls. The family will meet with friends from 11:30-12:45 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary.
