Perry Eugene Arehart Sr., 65, of Idaho Falls, died July 4, 2014, near Irwin, Idaho. He was born January 26, 1949, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Cecil Arehart and Annie Mae Brocksome Arehart. He grew up in Idaho Falls and Roberts. He earned his GED in 1970. Perry served with the U.S. Marines from 1969-1975 in Vietnam. On January 26, 2001, he married Barbara Metcalf in Idaho Falls. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Perry enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and anything he could do outside. He was an expert marksman. Perry enjoyed raising his grandchildren: Bridgette Bell and Dallon Arehart. Perry had a heart of gold and would help anyone; he had his own unique way of showing love. He is survived by the following: Wife, Barbara Arehart of Idaho Falls; Sons: Perry Arehart Jr. of Stanley; Dustin (Ashley) Littleford and Zac (Angel) Littleford both of Idaho Falls; Daughter, Gabi (Anthony) Jepson of Idaho Falls; granddaughters: Bridgitte Bell, Shyanne Littleford, Kamea Littleford, and Karli Johnson; grandsons: Dallon Arehart, Ashtin Littleford, and Kaden Johnson. Perry was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the Sandcreek LDS 3rd Ward picnic shelter, 3700 E. Lincoln Rd., Idaho Falls. Military rites will be conducted by the Bonneville County Veterans and the Idaho Military Honor Guard at 7 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
