Obituary

Phyllis Irene Belveal, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020, at Eastern Idaho Regional Hospital. She was under the care of Brio Hospice.

Phyllis was born on March 21, 1937, in Stockton, California to Philip Walter and Edith May Fish Belveal. She grew up in Stockton, Jenny Lind, and San Andreas California. She graduated from Calaveras High School in 1955.

On February 8, 1955, in Antioch, California she was married to Jerry Dean Hardin. To this union, three children were born. They were later divorced. She then met the love of her life, Frank Ortis Cercos.

She worked as a waitress for fancy restaurants, babysitter for the elite, and owned the Black Powder Gun Store in Jackson.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Phyllis enjoyed dancing and writing poetry. Her most precious moments were those spent with family or traveling with Frank. She was the most beautiful, loving person who always put others before herself. She was an animal lover and could always be seen with her faithful companion, Pappy.

She is survived by her sons: Mark (Jordan) Hardin of Longview, WA and Dave Hardin of Roseburg, OR; her brother, Dan Sinclair of Alpine, WY; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Valeri Jo Hardin; her brothers: Ken Belveal, William Belveal, and Jeff Sinclair; and her sisters: Carol Belveal, Susan Sinclair, Polly Sinclair, and Rebecka Sinclair.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m., October 10, 2020, at the Fox Hollow Ward, 2345 West 17 th Street, Idaho Falls with Bishop Jed Jones officiating. Burial will be at Pinedale Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com .
